Vincent McKenzie, also known by his Bardi name “Bawunge,” is a respected Aboriginal educator, language teacher, and cultural advocate from the Djarindjin Community on the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Vincent has dedicated much of his work to preserving and revitalising the Bardi language, helping younger generations stay connected to culture, Country, and identity.
