Therese is the Discipline Lead of Nutrition and Dietetics at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia, where she engages in teaching, conducting research projects, and supervising students. She is an advocate for practical, translatable research. She has 20 years experience as a dietitian and nutritionist, and prior to academia worked in private practice and at the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth. Therese leads research programs aimed at supporting new mothers with breastfeeding, optimising the meal environment in early childhood, and exploring the potential health benefits of dairy fat. She has three children who provide unlimited inspiration for her research endeavours, and is known for turning classic sweet treats into ‘healthy versions’ that nobody asked for.
