Rachel Laws is an Associate Professor of Public Health Nutrition at Deakin University’s Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition. With a background in dietetics and a decade of experience working across community and policy settings before entering academia, she is committed to translating research evidence into population-level impact. Her research focuses on the development, implementation and scale-up of nutrition interventions during the first 2,000 days of life. She collaborates closely with health services, policymakers and community organisations to integrate evidence-based approaches into routine practice, with a particular emphasis on reaching priority populations and reducing health inequities.
