Deakin Distinguished Professor Felice Jacka OAM is internationally recognised as the founder and a global leader of the impactful field of Nutritional Psychiatry research. She is the founder and immediate past president of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research (ISNPR), and founder and director of the Food & Mood Centre at Deakin University.
A Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher (2020-24), she ranks in the top 0.1% of scientists worldwide. In 2021, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her contributions to Nutritional Psychiatry. In 2026, she received one of the world's most prestigious scientific honours: the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Laureate Award for Asia and the Pacific. The programme has a remarkable track record - seven of its previous laureates have gone on to win Nobel Prizes, including Elizabeth Blackburn, Australia's only female Nobel laureate.
